10 Best Mutual Funds
![]()
Investing is a serious decision especially in today’s financial environment. There are literally thousands of mutual funds to choose from. It’s important that you spend time considering your financial objectives before selecting a mutual fund. Switching in and out of funds frequently is not recommended. You could end up paying more in fees which results in lower profits. Some things to consider before investing are:
1. Investment Objectives
2. Time Frame
3. Type of Mutual Fund
Load funds are funds that charge a fee up-front. Load funds have not consistently outperformed no-load or low-load funds. Many people buy load funds without researching the other type of funds. Do your own investment evaluations. Before buying a load fund, make sure it adds an appreciable advantage to your overall investment plan. Remember to research no-load funds. No-load funds do not charge you an up front fee. Some of the better performing funds over time have been no-load funds.
Some of the best performing mutual funds of the last 10 years have charged lower than average fees. In fact, in 1986, 16 of the top 25 performing funds were no-load funds. They also had managers that had been running the funds for several years. It’s important to look for fund managers with experience and a good track record.
Make a good investment choice based on your financial objectives. The funds with the best performance and lowest overall charges should be on your list. You want to select a mutual fund that does what you want at the lowest price. After all, lower fees mean more profits for you. And that’s the goal, right?
